High Back Armchairs No. 6239 by Osvaldo Borsani for ABV

Italy | 1949 Italian walnut, leather, brass, upholstery. Dramatic armchairs with undulating back supports, ball finials & carved detailing. The design dates from 1943, and these examples are from a private commission in 1949. An example of these chairs can still be found in the library of the Casa Borsani in Varedo, Italy.

Condition: Very good condition. Wood has been refinished and new upholstery added. Brass nail heads have original patina, and leather is also vintage.
