

Pair of Elettra Lounge Chairs by Studio BBPR for Arflex
Italy | c. 1953 Enameled steel and fabric, rubber. A rare pair of original period Elettra lounge chairs by the famous architecture studio partnership BBPR(Gianluigi Banfi (1910-1945), Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso (1909-2004), Enrico Peressutti (1908-1976), and Ernesto Nathan Rogers (1909-1969). The '‘Elettra'‘ lounge chair won the Gold Medal prize for design, at the Compasso d'Oro, at the 1954 Triennale exhibition in Milan.
