Monumental Vase by Giovanni Gariboldi for Richard Ginori
Italy | c. 1940 Fantastic over-scaled porcelain vase with large indent and textured relief of doves on branches. Glazes in glossy pale green and white. This was created during the period when Gariboldi was the design director of Ginori.
h. 29.0" diam. 12.5"
Condition: Very good vintage condition. This vase has a few hairline cracks on the bottom that do not compromise its structural integrity, but do render it unable to retain water. We recommend using a liner.
Notes: Published: Innen Dekoration #9, 1936. This vase is shown in Gio Ponti’s room at the 1936 Triennale in Milan. Pg. 306.
