Chris Bogia

Chris Bogia is an artist, educator, co-founder and former director of Fire Island Artist Residency, the first LGBTQ artist residency in the United States. His work reflects a deep love of design, drawing from fashion, architecture, interiors, video games, craft, and queer visual culture. Bogia has presented solo projects in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Los Angeles, including recent exhibitions at Mrs. in Queens and a project with Hermès in Los Angeles. His public artworks include commissions for the Public Art Fund at Laguardia Airport and a permanent installation in the Bronx with the NYC School Construction Authority. He is represented by Mrs. and Donzella Ltd. and teaches sculpture at New York University. His writings and artwork have appeared in Artforum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art Journal. Bogia lives in Queens, NY.
