Unique Mask by Gio Ponti & Paolo De Poli

Italy | c. 1951 Enamel, copper, silver leaf, lacquered steel base. Enameled copper mask with blue enamel over silver leaf. The silver leaf underneath the enamel was a feature that Ponti specified, and was only done on the earliest pieces; these are the most rare. Unsigned.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The glaze is in very good condition with the exception of one very tiny chip at the top front. The lacquered base shows very slight signs of wear.
